Melissa Data Evolves Corporate Structure to Better Serve Diverse Customer Base Unprecedented Growth Fueling Development of Distinct Business Divisions Including Data Quality and Mailers Software (February 07, 2012)

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 02/07/12 -- Melissa Data Corp., a leading developer of high performance data quality and address management solutions, today announced a corporate initiative evolving its solutions structure. The move will further support long-term growth, especially the company's fast-developing business in global contact data quality.

At the heart of Melissa Data's new structure is the formation of two distinct business divisions:

  • The Data Quality Division will include developer tools and enterprise plugins dedicated to helping customers clean and maintain high quality U.S., Canadian, and international contact data. This division will be serviced by the existing www.MelissaData.com website.

  • The Mailers Software Division will focus on the needs of the direct marketer, with an emphasis on the company's flagship MAILERS+4 bulk mail software, mailing lists and sales leads, change-of-address processing, and data appending services. The division will be serviced by a new website at www.MailersSoftware.com.

"The formation of two distinct divisions is a natural progression of our business, and one that allows us to highlight our company's strengths while focusing on our core audiences," said Ray Melissa, president of Melissa Data. "With two business units operating as separate brands with independent websites, we are better able to serve our customers and fulfill their specific needs."

Melissa Data acquired Peoplesmith Software in 2007 and M1 Data in 2009. The company now has development offices in Seattle, WA; Canby, OR; Rancho Santa Margarita, CA; and Scituate, MA.
