As I sat designing a 3D logo for a friend in Cinema 4D, a thought crossed my mind. . . Could I bring this into Motion? I knew I could bring Cinema 4D work into After Effects but what if I just wanted to add some simple camera moves in Motion. Yes I know I can do the camera moves in Cinema 4D but I wanted to see if they played well together.
For those who haven`t tried Apple`s Motion and are looking to get into motion graphics I highly recommend checking it out. Although not as powerful as After Effects, Motion is not as complicated either. Many After Effects users will agree it takes a bit of time to really be able to get a full understanding of the application. Not true with Motion. All I needed was Mark Spencer`s book "Motion 3" and I was off to the races. The program is very simple to learn and make things move.
Today`s video shows you what is needed to take a 3D logo from Cinema 4D and import it into Motion. Along with Motion files, Cinema 4D also exports Shake, After Effects, Combustion and Final Cut Pro files. To download a demo of Cinema 4D visit www.maxon.net Enjoy.
