Tips to Slim Down (your project) in 2009 After Effects Slimdown - Reduce AND Reuse! By Ko Maruyama
It's time for those New Years resolutions to start piling up.  You know the ones: I'm going to eat healthy food.  I won't slouch at my desk.  I'll spend less time on Facebook, Twitter and (insert your own). . . I'M GOING TO SLIM DOWN. Well how about some slimming tips you might actually stick to?  Here are some ways to slim down your animation projects in 2009....

In this tip, I'll take a look at my favorite animation application: AFTEREFFECTS.  But some people are using After Effects to set up more than just animations.  Yeah - people use it for print too (there are some great effects in After Effects - no big surprise there).  But what happens when you're done experimenting with 100s or 1000s of source materials that you  haven't used, and don't need to archive with the project?

Here's a really simple way to get rid of the clutter in your project and only focus on the materials you need to render the final composition.  (Make sure you don't throw away gems of inspiration by mistake!)
